  I took my dog Bella - who is a Staffordshire bull terrier for one week while we were on holiday. There was some mix up on my part with the vaccines and I was advised by the vet to give her kennel cough vaccine, as well as her booster jabs which I did. On arrival I handed over Bella's vaccination card and was told that because Bella had a live vaccine in her system she would have to be isolated. I was then lectured about the amount of strains of kennel cough, and that my vet was only trying to get extra money out of me! I did question my vet over this and was told that it is better to prevent kennel cough than let her get it and treat it. I agreed with this and told him to vaccinate her. He explained that she may get a slight cough after a couple of days, but it was just the vaccine working. At the kennels I went through the items I had brought in for Bella, such as her treats, food and what she is like. They did not seem interested. I also asked if she would be taken a walk and treated the same as the other dogs. They said she would be but just kept separate. The woman then said take her down, like she was going to prison. My son collected her 1 week later and he said she was in a cage behind the counter and when he shouted for her to come to him she was disorientated. There was no hand over from the women, in fact no conversation from her; like she has been good and enjoyed her walks etc. He brought her home and put some water down and she drank 2 bowls straight off! When I faced timed him at home I could see she was not herself and was thinner and seemed unhappy. I was stressed out on my holiday over this and could not sleep. I just knew something was not right with her. She is our baby and we know when she is unhappy!! I would NOT recommend this kennels to anyone who loves their dog!!!
